Open 7 days a week, outdoor dining all year long. You can sit in the enclosed glass patio and watch the snow fall while staying warm from the fire of the propane heat lamps. During the warm month's, relax outside and people watch. There are TV's to entertain along with bands (occasionally) on the weekends. This is one of my favorite places to eat, I highly recommend you visit and become a fan as well.

The name Tuolumne is of Native American origin and has been given different meanings, such as Many Stone Houses, The Land of Mountain Lions, and Straight Up Steep, the latter an interpretation of William Fuller a native Chief. Mariono Valley, in his report to the first California State Legislature, said that the word is "a corruption of the Native American word talmalamne which signifies 'cluster of stone wigwams.'"
